More Progress
Trim sewn on the edges.

I used an embroidery stitch on the fabric to make it have a bit more texture. I thought it looked like beads. It will look fancier underneath the beads now instead of a plain gold fabric.

Rhinestones/Trim/Belt
Here you can see I have glued the rhinestones onto the front 3 strips of trim, and I have part of the “belt” tacked on and the bottom part of it actually sewn on.

Hannibal progress
I’ve done quite a bit of the tedious inside work of the bodice… made the lining pieces with channels, sewed them in, etc.
I got the boning in the mail and tried my hand at cutting and tipping it myself. It was very easy! And I did it better than tipped ones I usually get. (Usually the tips aren’t really on perfectly, and sometimes they’ll snag when pulling them out of...

Belt
Trim for the “belt” of the Hannibal bodice. When I found this trim, I knew I hit the jackpot. And I just found it at my local Walmart in the remnants bin. Here’s a reference photo of the real costume:

Cutting and Finishing Spiral Steel Boning →
I can’t really afford to buy pre-cut and tipped boning anymore, especially since my source raised their prices on it. Instead, I’m going to buy a continuous roll of boning and tip it myself (much much cheaper).
This looks like a good tutorial and I wanted to share.
